Your Right to Data Deletion

At FastCheck, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You have the right to request deletion of your personal information that we have collected and stored.

This policy explains how you can request deletion of your data and what happens when you do.

What Data Can Be Deleted?

When you request data deletion, the following information will be permanently removed:

  • Your account information (name, email, phone number)
  • Business and company details
  • Courier API credentials
  • Order history and delivery records
  • Payment information
  • Customer data associated with your account
  • Chat conversations and messages
  • Knowledge base assets (documents, images)
  • Usage analytics and logs

Data We May Retain

We may retain certain data for legal, compliance, or security purposes:

  • Transaction records required for tax or accounting purposes (typically 7 years)
  • Information necessary to comply with legal obligations
  • Data needed to resolve disputes or enforce agreements
  • Security logs required for fraud prevention
  • Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot identify you

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data through any of the following methods:

Method 1: Account Settings

  1. Log in to your FastCheck account
  2. Go to Settings → Account
  3. Scroll to "Danger Zone"
  4. Click "Delete My Account"
  5. Confirm your decision

Method 2: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@fastcheck.delivery with:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your registered email address
  • Account details for verification
  • Specific data you want deleted (or "all data")

Method 3: Support Contact

Contact our support team through the in-app chat or help center and request account deletion.

What Happens After You Request Deletion?

1. Verification (1-2 business days)

We will verify your identity to ensure the request is legitimate. You may be asked to confirm via email or provide additional information.

2. Grace Period (7 days)

Your account will be deactivated immediately, but data will be retained for 7 days in case you change your mind. You can cancel the deletion request during this period.

3. Permanent Deletion (Within 30 days)

After the grace period, your data will be permanently deleted from our active systems within 30 days. Backups will be overwritten during their normal cycle (up to 90 days).

4. Confirmation

You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion process is complete.

Important Considerations

⚠️ Account Deletion is Irreversible

Once the grace period expires, data deletion cannot be undone. You will need to create a new account if you wish to use our service again.

  • Pending orders must be completed or cancelled before deletion
  • Outstanding payments must be settled
  • Active subscriptions will be cancelled (no refunds for unused time)
  • Data shared with courier partners may be retained according to their policies
  • You may still receive communications about completed orders or legal matters

Alternative: Export Your Data

Instead of deleting your account, you can export a copy of your data. Go to Settings → Privacy → Export Data to download your information in a portable format.
